FAQs
Your questions answered
Will referring change my relationship with my client?
No. With your client's consent, we keep you updated during treatment and plan the next step with you at discharge.
Can my client keep their psychiatrist?
Yes. Their Thrive provider coordinates with their outside care team, including their primary care provider and psychiatrist, to keep medications and treatment in step.
What if my client is unsure about a virtual program?
Sessions are live with licensed therapists, in small groups that stay together the whole way through. Clients attend 90% of their scheduled sessions.
What does a typical week look like?
10+ hours across five weekday evenings: group therapy in small groups that stay together, a weekly individual session and optional family sessions, with care coordination in between.
How quickly can someone start?
Across 28 admissions from February to September 2026, the median time from referral to IOP admission was 8 days.
Is Thrive in network with insurance?
Thrive is in network with most major commercial plans and TRICARE. We verify benefits before the first session, so there are no coverage surprises. We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare.
How do I make a referral?
Use our secure online form or call our nationwide admissions line, (561) 203-6085, open 24/7. You can also fax referrals to (949) 695-4744. Have the client's name, date of birth, contact details and insurance ready, plus a short note on what they need.
What happens if a client's condition worsens during treatment?
They are never on their own. Our 24/7 crisis line is available throughout treatment, and their treatment team reassesses the level of care. If they need more support than IOP, we help arrange it.
What if Thrive is not the right fit?
If IOP is not the right level of care, we help find the next step, so care does not fall through.
